If you’re stuck in a house full of kids telling you every ten minutes how bored they are, this post is for you. I rounded up the activity kits and toys you need from Amazon right now.
While we’re over here doing our part in social distancing, trying to keep three kids entertained while managing a full work load is sucking the life out of me.
100% transparency, these aren’t full proof for every child, but it’s a good list of activity kits that you should probably prime to your house ASAP, if you’re like me – and stuck in a house full of bored children.
Outside of a global pandemic period, these are all going into my winter stir crazy kits and family road trip kits for future “keep the kids occupied” situations.

I’ve chosen each of these particularly because the Dubs Brudders have used them and LOVED them in the past. The new activity kits, that are currently being shipped to our house, were chosen specifically for the little to no-mess factors and the “how long will it keep my kid interested” factor. Two essential and crucial pieces of information to any last minute kid-related Amazon purchases.
All of these are highly rated and best sellers among the parent population filling their carts on Amazon, so here are the:
Activity Kits and Toys You Need from Amazon
Sticker Books
For kids of all ages, all three Dubs Brudders love their sticker books. I like the reuseable books that let them move the stickers around. Easily a 30 minute activity that keeps them quiet and playing well together. Just re-stocked up on a few new ones.
Puzzles
Another household favorite are puzzles. I picked one up from my Target run earlier. And just ordered this one and this one from Amazon.
I also love this geometry based puzzle kit. Saving this one for my oldest.
Craft Kits
My older two kids (7 & 4) are super in craft kits, so I ordered this Create Your Own Sand Art kit and this Build Your Wind Chime Kit.
My oldest loved doing this Terrarium Kit last summer. Ordered another for C to try sometime during our month long break from school.
Building Toys
We are huge fans of LEGO (obviously – see our LEGO TABLE HACK post here) and magnet tiles. We have both the Magnatiles and ShapeMags that work interchangeably.
Mess Free Art Kits
Simple Rock Painting Kit, perfect for the upcoming Spring / Gardening season.
This is a portable drawing kit that I got for each of the boys. We can use it on the go and at home, so it’s good for whenever we’re on the road too.
Classic Faves
We’ve had this Alex Busy Box for years. It has so many different projects and crafts for the boys to do and keeps them focused for a good chunk of time.
Bubble Machine is fun for all three boys, I picked one up on my Target run, but this a great option on Amazon.
Card games, like this Disney Matching one is great for siblings to play together.
This Carnival Game Set comes with bean bags, cones, and rings for some active play both indoors and out.
Here is a list of activities and books to keep the kids busy, too:
