The 5 Ws of My Wellness and Fitness Routine
I’ve been sharing pretty regularly about my ongoing journey to sticking to a wellness and fitness routine. More than a routine, I’m really hoping for lasting lifestyle changes. Trust me when I say I’m more shocked than you are that I’ve been sticking to it since last October.
I spent most of last year, starting, stopping, and re-starting something that worked for me. Something in the last few months of the year finally clicked and I haven’t felt this physically strong and mentally clear in a long time.
If you’re like me and looking to start making small changes, here’s a quick recap of The 5 Ws of My Wellness and Fitness Routine:
WHO
Me, a mid-30s mom of three active kids, working from home in a pretty sedentary job.
It’s so easy to put myself last after taking care of everyone else. I started to be more intentional about how I spent my time. Instead of scrolling my phone for an hour, I opted to hop on my bike. Instead of skipping a meal and overindulging later, I opted to have three consistent meals. Small changes over time helped me to get to where I’m at now.
I joined a local six week challenge group (virtual) that provided me the jumpstart I needed to get my eating and movement back on track.
I also have a small group chat with mom friends who share the same wellness and fitness routines which has helped so much… on my down days, on my best days; they really keep me motivated when I need it most. And give me grace on the days I can’t find it for myself.
WHAT
My goals are basic, common, and easily forgettable by most moms all trying to do the same thing. Hit my daily water goal, consistently take my go-to supplements, eat well balanced meals at regular times, build a sustainable wellness and fitness lifestyle.
Water challenge and checking in with you guys keeps me accountable for reaching my daily goals!
I keep all my go-to supplements in my office so that I can easily incorporate them throughout my day. My office is the first place I go every morning and the last place I close up before heading up for bed. I’m still taking my go-to supplements, I shared with you guys late fall:
Renew Life – Ultimate Flora Women’s Care Probiotic, to support my digestive health*
Rainbow Light – Women’s One to support my immune health*
Neocell – Super Collagen Powder to support my healthy collagen formation*
Natural Vitality Calm – Magnesium Gummies*
Shop through your Kroger mobile app! Convenient, easy, and I love how all four of these supplements help me with different parts of my overall wellness.

WHEN
Most of my workouts have been across the board. I aim to do it during my lunch hour. There have been many days that I do late night workouts. Recently, I’ve been making it a habit to get dinner started for the family, turning on a show for the kids and starting my workout. David comes home and takes over. I have to admit, as much as a night owl I am, my day goes so much better on the days I get in an earlier workout. So, that’s a new goal I have for myself this year.
WHERE
Home gym – consisting of small hand weights, Peloton bike, resistance bands, yoga ball, pull up machine, weight bench

WHY
To be strong physically, for my mental health, to be proactive in my wellness and fitness routine
Honestly, my goals were set at the start of last year. We got our bike, I slowly started working my way up to working out 2-3x a week. Then, BAM, the world stopped and just like many of you, I spent most of 2020 navigating the ups and downs of living through unprecedented times.
Getting here (working out and eating regularly) took a long time. It took a lot of trying and giving up and trying again. If you don’t know where to start, don’t think twice, and just do it. Do one workout, drink a few glasses of water, whatever little step that you need to do that you’re not doing right now. Start small, give yourself grace, and ask me anytime how I’ve kept up with it (and stuck to it)!
Support your wellness routine with my go-to supplements! Starting January 8th at your local Kroger – get $4 off one Rainbow Light or Renew Life and $4 off one Natural Vitality or NeoCell product while supplies last!
