Have you started decorating for the fall season? Sharing a little bit of our Fall Home decor around Simply Every Home below…
It is starting to feel like fall around Michigan. save for a few 80 degree days that are par for the course for the fall season around here. I’m not complaining one bit. Our summer was filled with the chaos of selling a house and moving and I’m ready to get settled in our forever home.
Full disclosure, we have so much left to do around our house. Rooms yet to be furnished, pictures yet to be hung. Most of our windows are still in need of blinds and curtains! So, I jumped at the chance to do some fall decorating to help kick-off the process of adding a little coziness to our new home.

I’m still trying to find my design style. Simple is my go to, so I picked up a few fall items from various stores. Not going to lie, this is the earliest I’ve ever decorated for the season. But, I’m loving it!
I decided to keep the fall decor to our kitchen, dining area, living room and front porch.
Living Room Fall Decor
Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins Galore!
My go-to accent pieces for fall are decorative pumpkins. I picked up the big pumpkins from Michael’s and the ceramic and velvet pumpkins are from Target’s Dollar Spot.
I picked up a couple of decorative glass bottles and the pumpkin garland from my local Homegoods store. I’ll probably use the glass bottles year round and fill them with different seasonal faux flowers.
Throw Pillows and Blankets
Simple is my go-to for any STYLE. It’s definitely true for home decor picks, too. The easiest way to swap out seasonal decor in our living room is to switch up our throw pillows and blankets.
Most of our fall decor is filled with fall colors like orange, brown, yellow, so I decided to go a different route with the throw pillows and blankets.
I picked up a few at Target and love that it’ll transition easily into the winter, too. The pinks and browns are so cozy and the kids are loving the soft blanket and pillows.
Kitchen + Dining Area Fall Decor
We spend most of our time at the kitchen island and dining table. So I tried to keep things simple (re: kids) and practical while still festive for the season.
Kitchen Table Fall Decor
Our table runner is a few years old and I bought it from Homegoods. The seasonal stock varies depending on the store. So if you live near a large Homegoods, your options will be greater. Marshall’s carries a smaller selection, but sometimes you can find more options.
I bought the milk glass bottles from Salvation Army. I filled them with stems of artificial flowers and plants from Target’s Dollar Spot.
Tea Towels and Place Mats
Fall theme tea towels and place mats are both practical and festive. I bought both of our place mat sets at Bed Bath and Beyond. Tea towels are from Homegoods.
Pantry Door Wreath
I picked up the yellow Magnolia wreath on my last Target run. We’ll probably add some decorative door design in the future, but I love the pop of fall color on the bare door for now.

Front Porch Fall Decor
I love how easy it is to decorate the front porch for fall.
Front Door Wreaths
Our front door wreath is a few years old from Meijer. I’m also looking at a few cotton wreaths to swap out later in the season.
Welcome Mat
I found this fun fall and Halloween mat on Etsy and the buffalo check welcome mat on Amazon.
Front Porch Flowers
I LOVE LOVE LOVE mums. I searched high and low and found Home Depot had the most selection as far as sizes and colors at great price points. Not pictured, but I also found white/lavender mums at Home Depot that were marked down to $2.50 each!

I have more home decor and tour posts lined up! I can’t wait to share more as we make Simply Every Home our forever home.
