As a multicultural family, we often eat a mix of fusion foods in our home. Most nights, we’re cooking up some sort of Korean dinner with a modern twist that the whole family can enjoy together.
Of all the things I cook in my kitchen, nothing makes me happier than cooking Korean food for my family.

What is Gochujang?
Gochunjang (Go-choo-jahng) is the Korean version of a red chili paste. It has a hint of sweet flavor and can range in all degrees of spiciness depending on the red chili pepper that it is made with. It’s an ingredient that’s a part of many traditional Korean food dishes. We love it in various forms, but I wanted to make a version of it that is kid-friendly, too.

How do I make it?
This Savory Gochujang Dipping Sauce will be a great swap for simple side dishes like a veggie platter or chips and dip. But, in our house, we also love pairing it with some of our favorite Korean dishes.
I always have a tub of FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt, so that I can easily make a batch or two of our favorite Savory Gochujang Dipping Sauce. It only takes five minutes and it’s SO easy to make.
- ½ cup FAGE Total 2% Plain Greek Yogurt
- 2 tablespoons gochujang or red pepper flakes or chili powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
You can add more gochujang to make it spicier. For bigger batches you can use the same ½ to 2 ratio of three ingredients.
Best Plain Greek Yogurt
FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt is the best base for this Savory Gochujang Dipping Sauce. I make a lot of different food dishes with FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt, but this probably what I use it for most often. I love the texture and it is so yummy! FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt can be found at a local grocery retailer – Store Locator HERE.

What to Eat with It?
Bibimbap is a regular item on our family menu. Unfortunately, many of the premade gochujang sauces are too spicy for the boys. And sometimes even for me! This Savory Gochujang Dipping Sauce is the perfect substitution.

Like I mentioned earlier, this Savory Gochujang Dipping Sauce makes for a great appetizer condiment. It goes so well on veggie platters or with a bag of chips or pretzels. I also make a lot of soups with it, too!
Pick up some FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt on your next grocery run and make some of this to try at home. Let me know what you think!
