The leaves are beginning to change colors and the weather is slowly starting to cool down. All sports are beloved in our household, but there’s a special kind of passion that the Dubs boys share for football! What’s not to love about the Fall season, yummy appetizers/food and cheering our team on? Around here, football is celebrated every weekend, Thursday and Monday nights throughout the season. Or at least it seems like it to me, haha!

With three little boys to keep entertained, I like coming up with simple and easy ideas for everyone in the family to enjoy football games! Here are a few family friendly football party ideas that are perfect for the ultimate “home”-gating experience:
MASON JAR CRAFTS
Grab those empty mason jars and get ready to craft! You know I’m all about simple and easy when it comes to crafting with kids. This is a super easy and (mostly) clean painting project! These festive mason jars are great for party decorations, too!
Supplies: Mason Jars, Acrylic Paint, Colored Tape
- 5-10 drops of paint in mason jar, shut the lid, shake the jars until paint covers the inside of jar
- Use a small paintbrush to fill in some of the empty spots
- Flip jar over and let dry on paper towel
- Decorate outside of jar with decorative/colored tape
BE THE ACE OF CAKES
In need of a fun, festive dessert for your football party? Maybe something yummy to bring over to a gathering at a friend’s house? These cakes are your answer! I am all for easy when it comes to a party treat. I’m not the greatest baker, so I’m happy to order festive official NFL licensed for our at home or friends’ football parties. DecoPac makes official NFL licensed cakes that are available at your local Meijer nationwide.
Bingo is a fun and easy way to keep everyone engaged throughout the football game. My boys love to follow along and watch the players for different calls and points. Just print off a fun, football themed BINGO card and get to calling out different plays!
Are you a football fan? What are some ways you enjoy while watching the games?
