Mother’s Day brunch is my most favorite meal of the year. Whether it’s hosting for our moms or getting my meal served to me by my boys, it’s a special day every year.
As a breakfast and brunch lover, trying different menu items is always fun and tasty. This year I plan on cooking this Sausage Bacon Egg Scramble Baguette Bowl for our moms. It’s super simple and easy to make with a twist on some of our favorite brunch items.
The boys love joining me on our special grocery trips to our local Meijer. We make a special trip to pick out all of the ingredients for Mother’s Day brunch with both of their grandmas. Grocery shopping at Meijer is great for moms because of the ease and convenience of one stop shopping. The selection of food items makes it simple to shop for a special breakfast for Mother’s Day.
The highlight of this sausage bacon egg scramble is Jimmy Dean® Regular Premium Pork Sausage and Jimmy Dean Hickory Smoked Bacon. The products are located within the refrigerated meats section at Meijer and are easy to find around Mother’s Day because they come in specially stickered packages to make a heartfelt breakfast for all of the special moms in our lives.
The premium pork sausage is made with my favorite blend of savory Jimmy Dean signature seasonings. The fresh, high quality pork sausage makes this dish so tasty and delicious. Everyone in the family, even the boys, love this breakfast dish. I don’t add any additional seasonings because the Jimmy Dean Regular Premium Pork Sausage is so flavorful.
I top off the brunch baguette with Jimmy Dean Hickory Smoked Bacon. The crispy bite and quality of the bacon is the perfect addition to complete the meal.

Saute Jimmy Dean Refrigerated Premium Pork Sausage for 5-10 minutes until brown.
Add diced yellow and green peppers and saute for additional five minutes.
Hollow out french bread baguette.
Fill baguette with cooked sausage and peppers.
Pour eggs into baguette.
Top with mozzarella slices and Jimmy Dean Hickory Smoked Bacon (1 - 1.5 inch slices).
Bake on low heat 250 degrees for 20-25 minutes until egg filling is cooked and cheese is melted.
Broil on high for a few minutes until bacon is crisp.
Slice baguette bowl slices, serve, and enjoy!

One of the best parts of being near our hometown is that our kids get to enjoy holidays with their grandparents. I love that both of their grandmas play such an active role in their lives. As I’ve mentioned before, my mom is their primary caregiver and my mother in law watches them weekly as well.
Mother’s Day brunch is a special time for me because I get to enjoy the pampering from my boys. But, even more so because I get to enjoy pampering our moms, too. I can’t wait for them to try this delicious meal and enjoy some time being spoiled because they do so much to make our lives easier.
Be sure to pick up your Jimmy Dean Regular Premium Pork Sausage and Jimmy Dean Hickory Smoked Bacon at your local Meijer. And let me know if you try this easy and simple Mother’s Day brunch recipe.
