Here we are at seven months old and Baby B is in the swing of eating solids regularly. We still nurse often, but he is up to two solid meals a day. B is slower to eating solids compared to his big brothers. So I’m taking it at a slower pace this third time. I’m having fun making his baby food with easy and simple stage two puree recipes. And for the most part, B is enjoying all of the different fruits and veggies.
I’ve been trying different easy and simple stage two puree recipes depending on what fresh fruit and veggies we have at home. This method coupled with my Baby Bullet: Complete Baby Food Making System makes the whole baby food making process so fast and simple. Here are some of our current favorites:
SPINACH + APPLE + BANANA
1 Small Organic Apple
1/2 Organic Banana
1/2 Hand Full of Organic Spinach
1/4 C Breast Milk or Formula
Mix all ingredients for 30 seconds on/off in the Baby Bullet. Puree until desired texture.
BANANA + MANGO + CARROT
1/2 C Organic Mangoes
1/2 Organic Banana
1/4 C Organic Carrots
1/4 C Breast Milk or Formula
Mix all ingredients for 30 seconds on/off in the Baby Bullet. Puree until desired texture.
PEA + PEAR + PINEAPPLE
1 Small Organic Pear
1/2 C Organic Pineapple Chunks
1/4 C Organic Peas
1/4 C Breast Milk or Formula
Mix all ingredients for 30 seconds on/off in the Baby Bullet. Puree until desired texture.
PEAR + SPINACH + SWEET POTATO
1 Small Organic Pear
1/4 Organic Sweet Potato
1/2 Hand Full of Organic Spinach
1/4 C Breast Milk or Formula
Steam Raw Sweet Potato in Baby Bullet Steamer. Mix all ingredients for 30 seconds on/off in the Baby Bullet. Puree until desired texture.
My favorite part of the baby food making process is steaming the veggies. I love how fast the Baby Bullet Steamer cooks the veggies and thaws frozen baby food. I even use it to cook my adult portion of sweet potatoes! (Woohoo, clean eating for the whole family!)

I didn’t really get into making homemade baby food with my older boys. It seemed so tedious and time consuming. Now that I’m using the Baby Bullet food making system, the whole process is much more enjoyable. I love that Baby B is getting in whole, organic foods and that it’s super easy for me to prepare it all at home. While we’re always game for convenience and have jars of baby food on hand (because hello, life with three kids). For the most part, we’re both enjoying these homemade stage 2 purees for meals at home and on the go!
