The Correct Way to Apply Moisturizer

How do you apply moisturizer? Read below to see the correct way to ensure you’re getting the most out of your products!

Did you know that there is a correct way to apply moisturizer? I was absolutely floored when one of my BFFs mentioned that I was applying moisturizer the wrong way! (Well no, not really, since I’ve never been a huge skincare or beauty guru!) But, I was surprised to hear that there is a correct way to apply moisturizer. I’m so glad I have my friends and Pinterest! (because, duh all info/life hacks!)! Thanks to them, I’ve picked up valuable knowledge and tips on how to get the best benefits out of my daily routines. Today, I want to share with you the correct way to apply moisturizer and my current go-to cream for hydrating my skin every day!

THE CORRECT WAY TO APPLY MOISTURIZER

Face

For all-over application on your face, you should work from your outer face and into the center. Use a small amount of your moisturizer and rub it in upwards, so that it absorbs and helps to work against gravity! Using these motions helps to lift saggy skin and provide elasticity for preventing aging skin. It’s the best way to get the most out of hydrating your skin!

Neck

And if you’re anything like me, you probably forget to moisturize your neck! One of my girlfriends says that you can find out the real age of a woman by looking at her hands and her neck! Ever since I heard that, I’ve been more conscious of hydrating the skin in my neck area regularly as well. The correct way to apply moisturizer on your neck is to work upwards. Again, do everything to fight against gravity! Don’t forget to do an all over application on your inner and outer neck, too!

These days, my go-to anti-aging cream and moisturizer is Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. I love the smell, the texture and my skin feels so hydrated without any leftover residue or feeling oily.

Moisturizing and hydrating my skin every day is something that I find is a simple, but crucial for anti-aging. I love using Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream because it is not only an anti-aging cream, but a great every day moisturizer at a great, affordable price point.

Recently, I read about The Good Housekeeping Institute’s Beauty Lab and their clinical and blinded consumer studies. It provides such great information on a myriad of different moisturizing beauty products and Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream came out on top!

  • FAST-ACTING: At the three-hour mark, Olay moisturized 400% better than a cream nearly 18 times its price and beat all other products tested.
  • LONG-LASTING HYDRATION: Olay increased moisture by 50% on average over a 24-hour period.
  • LIGHTWEIGHT TEXTURE: In blind comparisons, consumers preferred Olay 80% of the time over expensive creams, reporting that it felt “rich” without being heavy.
  • FIRMING & PLUMPING INGREDIENTS: Formulated with powerhouse ingredients like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, Olay improved skin’s texture by 10% in four weeks.

In just five days, I noticed visible results in the fine lines around my eyes and forehead. I want to share a visual with you so you can see the noticeable difference from using Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. Seriously, it has so many benefits at a fraction of the cost of similar products found at high-end retailers. Why pay more, when you get better results with a quality and affordable product?

I love Olay products. They are affordable and great on sensitive skin like mine. Great application tips… simetimes us moms rush through things like that and just slap the lotion on.
