Thanks to Things Remembered for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all content and opinions are my own.
All of us in the Dubs’ household are eagerly awaiting our early summer arrival. But no one is more excited than big brothers A & C. From feeling the baby kicks to giving wet, slobbery kisses to my belly, the boys are so curious to meet the newest member of their squad.
It already gives me ALLTHEFEELS seeing how they interact with baby in my belly. I can’t even imagine how much my heart will swell to see the three of them interacting after baby’s arrival. Seriously, I’m already tearing up at the thought of their growing brotherly love, bond, and friendship. (Hello, pregnancy hormones.)
One of the things we did when we were prepping A for C’s arrival was giving him special gifts from his new baby brother. It was a way for us to make him feel important in his new role as big brother. To this day, he still talks about how it’s the first presents that C got him, even though it wasn’t his birthday or Christmas.
We knew that we wanted to do the same thing for the boys this time around, but didn’t have any good ideas as far as special gifts. They have a million and one toys between the two of them. So I knew that a toy of any sort wouldn’t be all that special or memorable for either of them. I wanted to find something that would be symbolic and meaningful for the big brothers, even at their young age.
When I came across the personalized and special new baby and kid gifts at Things Remembered, I knew exactly what to get them. With A & C already in protective mode, these adorable personalized Super Hero capes have become a favorite item for every day imaginary play. They love that the new baby already “knows” their names and that they are his special Super Heroes.
Even Superheroes need to take breaks in their day, right? To go along with their Superhero capes, the new baby gifted them these cute personalized Super Big Brother tumblers.
I love that the tumblers are their special big brother cups and that they’re so functional for everyday use, too! It’s a total mom win when special gifts serve a greater practical purpose. The personalization that Things Remembered uniquely offers for their different gift items makes it so much more peaceful in our house. I love that they each have their special gifts from their new baby brother.
When I was scrolling through the Things Remembered website, I made sure to include A in the gift-browsing process. He chose this adorable Alphabet quilt for his present to his new baby brother. He loves teaching C the ABCs and can’t wait to teach his newest little brother, too! He helped me wrap it up and it’s the first item we’ve got packed in my otherwise empty hospital bag! We got our last name stitched on a patch and I love that this will be a special, family heirloom between the boys.
The Dubs’ Family Superheroes are ready to meet their newest addition!
What are some ways you helped transition your older kids to the new baby? Any special gifts to and from baby?

PREGNANCY HORMONES ARE THE WORST. Tell me why i started crying at this post!? My dad is visiting and he asked me why I was crying at my computer and I showed him this and I said “they’re so protective of their baby brother already!”
This is such a perfect gift. Now I need some superhero capes for my kids (and myself) because I feel like you can’t fight monsters, jump on beds, or knock down blocks if you’re not dressed appropriately.
Aww mama hugs, totally understand! We need capes too, totally! Eeek our crazy happy chaos with our boys!! Are you ready?!
I LOVE that ABC quilt! It is so beautiful! Their capes are also so adorable! My son would love it!
Me too! I love the design and colors!
Oh my! That is such a great idea! I am going to try this if we ever have a third baby! I love all the gifts your kids got too; they’re so adorable!

Such a great item for imaginative play!
Oh my gosh they are the cutest in their little capes!!
Hehe thanks friend! They love their capes!
These are so cute! We did the same thing for my older kids each time they got a new siblings:)
The kids loved it!
Those are so great! I had no idea Things Remembered did so many cool items!
So many cute gifts!
I love this idea! How sweet that they are already the new baby’s superheros! I bet they are so excited and are going to be so great at protecting and caring for the new arrival!
They’re both so excited!
Love these ideas. When my second child was born, we made it a point to let him give the baby a gift when he met him at the hospital, and to have a gift “from” the new baby to him. I think it helped him be more excited (at just age 2) about getting a new sibling.
My second son will be just shy of two when baby arrives!
Love the capes, quilt and tumblers!! Had no idea Things Remembered sold these types of kiddie things!
So many good gifts!
Aww! Those capes are just too cute!! I had no idea that Things Remembered did kid stuff liek that. Sounds like they are going to be superhero big bros for sure!
Love things Remember. So beautiful what you picked out for them. I’m especially overly in love with the quilt. I know they are more than ready for baby brother.
I’m obsessed with personalized gifts! These are adorable!
Super cute idea and I love Things Remembered!
Your heart is just going to explode seeing them with their baby bro 🙂 and what a lucky little baby boy to have 2 superheroes looking out for him!
I love this unique and special idea!!!
When we had our son we had a book that we wrote a message from “him” to our daughter in. She loved him more than the book though.
