I don’t know about y’all, but this gorgeous Spring weather is making me all sorts of excited for the season! The fresh air and sunshine is so, so good for my soul.
WKND RECAP
Saturday, I totally rushed over to soccer with the boys, chair, and diaper bag in tow; only to find out that soccer ended last weekend. OOPS. Preggo/Mom brain was in full effect. It’s all good, I’m still the COOL MOM, right?! My husband got a ton of work done, I cleaned and did laundry, and my cousin came over to hang out with the kids outside all day long. Later in the day, I actually got ready and put on jeans for our monthly Detroit Moms Blog night out! Needless to say, I had a blast catching up with my mama loves and eating delicious food. Seriously, those nachos were heaven!
Sunday, my poor little C spent the first half of the day super sick. I’m not sure if it was an allergic reaction or food poisoning from the night before because everyone else was ok. But, his little body vomited all the fluids/spit he had left. Thankfully, he wasn’t running a fever and he was better after a long nap and pedialyte. By dinner time, he was back to his loud, rambunctious self and he ate dinner (and kept it down!)
BUMPDATE
So, for those of you who don’t know, my last baby C came early at 38 weeks. I’m not going to think that this baby will come early because that’s just setting myself for the longest last few weeks of pregnancy. But, it IS starting to freak me out that the baby could be here in five weeks! Seriously, where does the time go?! My neighbor told me that her second also came at 38 weeks and that her third came at 37! While I know that each pregnancy is different, I can’t even believe that we could possibly have our newborn baby here in a matter of weeks!
As far as symptoms, I think this babe is definitely the wildest mover in my womb. He literally moves at all hours of the day and night. Thankfully, I have been getting to bed earlier and the insomnia seems to have settled for the most part. I’m probably getting a good 6-7 hour stretch at night, which honestly is the bare minimum I need to be a functioning human being and mama to my littles.
Most days, I feel great and I want to eat ALLTHETHINGS per usual, but I can definitely feel the baby getting bigger. I’m starting to hit my usual third trimester nausea, but it’s more the physical lack of space for food that is the culprit.
Now that the boys are settled into their shared bedroom/sleep routine, I need to get my butt in gear in setting up the baby nursery. I have bins of baby clothes to wash and put away and we need to come up with a name! Basically, so many things we need to “take care of” before his arrival, but at the same time #thirdbabyprobs, I’m just going with the flow of it all. I’m definitely a more relaxed mama at this stage than I was with my first!
Hope you all had a great weekend! I can’t wait to catch up on your posts this week and breathe a bit better than I have been with this big ole’ baby belly!
