Monday?! Last week and the weekend flew by! Just me? I hope you all had a great weekend! I’m trying to soak up the warm winter days here in Michigan. We have so much going on in and out of the house right now, but I’m trying to be mindful of the moments each day. I hope your New Year resolutions/words/goals are going strong!
Thanks for linking up on our new modified link-up last week! I had so fun catching up on your posts throughout the week! Don’t forget to link up this week and check out the featured section below!
BUMPDATE
Hello, halfway point! This pregnancy is still surreal. Do I sound like a broken record yet? I’m so grateful that my nausea seems to be gone for the most part. I’m sleeping well most nights, aside from the bad sinus headache and cold I caught from the boys. Most nights, I end up staying up bingeing on Criminal Minds and keeping myself up for no reason other than a Netflix session. The baby kicks a LOT. I can’t believe how big his movements feel right now. D has felt them from the outside, too! Seriously, baby kicks are the best part of pregnancy! Our anatomy scan is this week and we’re so excited to see our babe! I think we may take A to the ultrasound with us too. He’s so curious about his littlest baby bro and I think he will love the experience of their first “meeting.”
I’m loving leggings (per usual) and these OTK boots make me feel a bit more put together. I did a big clean out of my wardrobe this last week and now I need to stock on some basics. Mostly, I need new nursing tanks and tunics/undershirts that cover my butt!
WEEKEND RECAP
We kicked off the weekend with an impromptu date night! I’ve been craving sushi, so we went to our local fave and pigged out on some good grub. We’ve been spending a lot of time together with all of the house things going on, but it was nice to get out and catch up on life together. Nothing beats having a good night of delicious food and conversation with my husband!
Like I mentioned, we’re knee deep in our master bedroom and dressing room reno! We had new carpet installed and both rooms are painted. We’re slowly getting things organized and I’m loving how it’s all coming together! We decided to keep our dressing room as is for now. I’m so happy with the color changes! I’ll do a full before and after post. But, here’s a snapshot of the old/new carpet. It’s hard to tell in this photo, but we had a brown, shaggy carpet (bleh!) and now we have a shorter, tighter gray carpet. [Clearly, I don’t know my carpeting terminology, but you get my point!]
We’re battling another round of head colds. Everyone is down for the count, with the exception of my husband. I’m holding out hope that it passes him. (So help me, God, please let the man cold pass this time.) The boys seem to be better, but I’m still dealing with constant sneezing and sinus symptoms. Hopefully, it passes quickly! Being sick while pregnant is no fun at all.
Our third swim class at Goldfish Swim school went swimmingly! Hehe, the boys are loving it (and so is D!) I may take my turn in the water with C next week!

🙂 so exciting to have scans, hope all goes wonderfully. Sweet idea to take A…so magical. I thought about doing that with my last pregnancy – my eldest was 4 at the time, but he is a bit phobic about medical things. But with hindsight, I think he would have been fascinated.
I think he will be really excited! Might have to pick him up early from school!
Happy Monday! Love the idea of a weekend recap! Love the little loveseat in front of your bed!

I adore your boots so much and your room is coming along great. I love the furniture especially the couch.
You’re the cutest! I love this link-up!
Your bump! So cute! And I really love those boots. We took Blaire to our ultrasounds and it’s so funny to see a toddler try to understand that they’re looking at their baby brother in there. We had my goddaughter for a few days when I was pregnant with Blaire, and she was probably four at the time, and she went to an ultrasound with us and kept asking the tech if she could just take the baby out for a few minutes! hahaha
Great link up! I missed the cut off, but glad to be by on the blog anyway! You are looking great – I know that you are glad to be feeling better. It is such a treat when you can feel the little one moving! Also, that sushi looks DELICIOUS! Happy Monday!
