Mom Life Mondays: Blog Link Up #19

Happy Monday, my lovely friends! I’m so excited to share with you the slightly revamped Mom Life Mondays blog link-up! As I mentioned last week, I’ve added in a featured post section and changed our link-up to feature thumbnail images of the linked blog posts. I thought it would be a fun way for readers to get a preview of the different posts! In the coming weeks, I plan on adding in a co-host or two, as well as post themes for us to keep in sync with one another through this link-up! I think it will be a great way to consistently connect on a regular basis. If you have any helpful thoughts or suggestions, please e-mail me or comment below! I would love your thoughts and help!

BUMPDATE

I didn’t plan on keeping up a regular pregnancy journal, but here I am using my Monday Link Up post to keep notes on this third pregnancy! Coincidentally, my # of weeks pregnant is lining up with the weekly link-up #! I guess it was meant to be? Haha. As of yesterday, I am 19 weeks pregnant. I still can’t believe it. Every other day, I ask my husband if he’s ready to have three kids. Because I don’t think I am! Almost always, he says that we’ll be just fine. I need his emotional support nearly daily, so I’m grateful for his encouragement. Physically, the nausea is starting to let up and I hope I can continue to eat as I have the last few days. I’m up around 10 lbs so far, which is the least I’ve gained at this point in pregnancy. I’m not surprised since I’ve been the sickest this time around. But, hopefully things are on the upswing and little love is getting all of his nutrients from my body. I’m excitedly counting down to our anatomy scan next week!

WEEKEND RECAP

Soccer and swim classes went off without a hitch this weekend. And we made it to Saturday evening service at church, which always sets the tone for a great week for us! Most of the weekend was filled with random things both in and out of the house. Sunday afternoon, we visited my mother in law at the rehab center she’s staying at until her leg is healed from surgery. All in all, it was another errand and action packed weekend. I saw this sweet decor at the rehab center and it made me so giddy for Valentine’s Day! I know it’s another retail holiday, but any holiday that celebrates LOVE is a great one in my book!

Have I mentioned that we are in the midst of a mini-renovation? My father in law painted our master bedroom a refreshing and airy color and we decided on a whim to get new carpet for our second floor! D and I’ve been scrambling to clean out our dressing room, so that it’s ready for the installers later this week! (Technically, it’s the fourth bedroom of our house that was converted to a walk-in dressing room by the previous owners). We haven’t yet decided if we will turn it into a nursery for baby #3 or if we will leave it as our dressing room. The two oldest boys may end up being roommates and we may move the baby into C’s current nursery toward the end of the year. Regardless of our decision, I’ve been having fun online shopping for some new bedroom furniture. And the kids have had their fill of random trips to the hardware store the last few weeks!

Featured Blogger from Link Up #18: Trista at Shopaholic & a Baby

As a work at home mom, I get the best of both worlds. Sometimes it’s great and other days I feel like I’m half-assing both of my roles. Her post from last week, 7 Things Working Moms and SAHMs Have in Common resonated so much with me. I’m sure you will agree that as moms, we feel the same way about all of things in her post! Thanks, Trista for linking up your post!

If you’re a blogger, please feel free to drop a link to a current motherhood-related blog post. I just ask that you follow the instructions detailed below!

We also have a chat loop on Instagram! Please follow JeeYoung (me!) @simplyeveryblog & Shannon @momwithoutlabels for our weekly #IGMOMSCHAT (usually on Thursday nights @ 9pm EST!)

Have a fabulous week, loves!

I’m sorry that you’re so sick with this pregnancy, one of my friends had really bad morning sickness during hers. She had to go to the hospital. Mine wasn’t terrible.
