Happy Monday, my lovely friends!
We had our first snow storm of the season on Sunday (and through early morning today). I love the smell, look and feel of the season’s first snow.
And then, I’m over it. I’ve been in Michigan for most of my life and yet every winter, I always ponder the dream of moving to a state with a more milder climate.
Despite the snow covered roads, we headed out yesterday to A’s first school-friend birthday party at a local kids’ arcade/play place. It was an afternoon full of fun, games, rides, pizza, and cake! All of the parents joked about how our kids’ social calendars are busier than our own! I guess that’s the norm for parents. I can only imagine how busy our days and weekends will get as the boys get older.
How was your weekend? Did you get any snow where you are? Don’t forget to share your blog posts in the link up below! I look forward to reading through your latest, while sipping on some hot coffee (and cocoa too!) later today.

Awwww the snow looks beautiful though…. No snow here, but we did crack open the cocoa this weekend 🙂
I grew up in upstate NY and went to the AF after graduation. That brought me to Texas. Ahhh, I was then stationed in ND which was worse then NY in the wintertime. I have done my snow time. I want to play in it and it does snow here in VA sometimes so I’m good!
A milder winter sounds lovely!
I love snow on the first day, after that I’m done….great photo!
Seriously why do we live here?!?
