Something Navy

I know I don’t have a ton of OOTD posts on here yet, but you will come to find that I look for simplicity in my outfit choices. Probably because of the fact that I’m not much of a ‘stylist,’ and simple and comfortable is as far as my mind will take me when trying to coordinate an outfit. Like I said in my last post, I do try to pay attention the details though. And the details are what makes even a simple outfit choice, a little bit stylish!

In my opinion, navy is a staple color. It’s clean and classic. I actually didn’t own much navy until the past year or so, but I’ve definitely added different pieces because I’ve fallen in love with this color. It’s a bit chilly still (yay Michigan weather) around these parts, so I’m wearing some sort of pants (leggings count!) most days. But, it is warm enough for sandals, so I’ve been trying to rotate my few pairs of sandals on the warmer days.

The capped sleeves on this navy part are my favorite. I love the way it covers my upper arms and how the overlay of the layers brings out a feminine style to a shirt with a cut that is otherwise boxy and masculine.

The T-strap sandals are from a couple summers back, but they’re a low-ish heel and pretty comfortable to wear all day, which is always a win in my fashion book. And have you noticed a trend? JBrand jeans/pants are a must-have in my wardrobe! I haven’t found a pair that I’ve disliked, and I think I own five or more pairs.

Do you like navy? How’s the weather in your area? Is it warm enough for a true spring/summer wardrobe? (If so, I’m uber jealous!)
