Ever since my last pregnancy, I’ve discovered a love for chocolate that I never really had before. I know, I know, where have I been? Chocolate? Everyone loves chocolate every now and then, myself included! Color me shocked when I learned that Hostess now has a variety of flavors of Twinkies! Their new Fudge Covered Twinkies and Chocolate Cake Twinkies are the latest creations that are as delicious as they sound!
Hostess is so classic, yet innovative as a brand to diversify and offer new flavors of their classic sweet treat. I love how versatile Twinkies are and I love creating our own simple twist to such a simple, yet flavorful treat.
As you all know, I am not the world’s best baker. So any time I can simplify the baking process, I am all over it! These no bake cake pops made with Twinkies and any random toppings you have lying in your pantry or refrigerator is sure to fill your summer days with sweet goodness!
I simply cut the Chocolate Cake Twinkies in half and dipped them in different toppings like sprinkles, ground nuts, frosting, and coconut shavings. I used mini skewer sticks and popped them right in for the perfect bite sized treat!
The Fudge Covered Twinkies are my husband’s favorite flavor. And he’s definitely the chocolate lover in our family. Most of the time, he likes to eat them plain, but he also enjoys them topped with a little whipped cream or drizzled with hot caramel. It’s the perfect twist on a classic snack. I like the Chocolate Covered Twinkies dipped in sprinkles or ground nuts! But, my favorite part is that it’s so easy for me to whip up a batch of these colorful and tasty treats!
