Happy Monday, lovely friends!
I am returning to work after a long, five-day weekend! It felt SO good to unplug and spend so much QT with my boys and getting stuff done around the house!
My (amazing) husband took the kids up north for a boys’ wknd and I was left home solo to relish in the silence and freedom of being child-free for a couple of days. Needless to say, I spent much of my time eating sushi, junk food and Targeting to my heart’s content!
The rest of my week was filled with lots of outdoor play time and even a day at the zoo! We checked out the new Penguin exhibit/building at the Detroit Zoo and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful day of sunshine. (Like seriously, my husband wore shorts on a February day in Michigan!!)
D and I also enjoyed a date night out, thanks to my mom. We’re trying to squeeze in as many date nights as possible! The countdown to baby 3 is getting shorter, and we’re fully aware that our time “just us two” is going to be even harder to manage once our third little love is here.
The long wknd ended with a moms’ night out with my new friends over at Detroit Moms Blog. It was such a fun night of chatting, laughing, and eating delicious BBQ at a local bar/restaurant. I’m so excited for the upcoming events and this amazing opportunity to connect with and write for such an amazing network of women (& men, too!).
25 weeks! Holy cow! Yep, I definitely sound like a broken record. This pregnancy is flying by and I’m still in shock mode. Most days, I am feeling well and eating well, too. Baby 3 is moving around a ton! I had a check-up last week and my OB tells me that baby is measuring a few weeks ahead. Both of his big brothers also measured ahead and were born 8 lbs 11 oz and 8 lbs respectively, so I have a feeling our little love, will probably not be so little either. (Lucky mama! LOL).
I am trying to be mindful of taking care of myself and can’t wait to get back to my regular gym routine. I’ve been so tired or sick throughout the beginning half of this pregnancy that I definitely let my gym game go. I was active during my last pregnancy and I know it helped me a ton as far as labor & delivery and post partum recovery. I’m hoping to get back into it in the coming weeks (as best as I can add it into my routine.)
