Mom Life Mondays: Blog Link-Up #8 (Blogging Break)

Happy Monday, my lovely friends!

I don’t know if you noticed, but I’ve been on a mini-hiatus for the last week. My kids took turns with a nasty cold and I was a zombie most days. I planned on mentally taking a blog break, but it turned out life decided to force it on me anyway! Aside from seeing my kids ill (which is never fun), it was nice to focus on living life, instead of writing about it. Blogger friends, ya feel me?!

As most of my blogging friends well know, blogging never sleeps. There’s always something to do at all hours of the day (or night). So it’s really hard to step away. But, sometimes it’s exactly what you NEED to do; both for the good of your sanity and your blog. So here I am, having enjoyed my time away and recharged to get back into the blogging game at my own pace.

My break away ended just as I hit a small milestone on the blog! Yesterday marked 6 months since I bought this domain and started writing random posts! Time flies when you’re blogging! I’m grateful for all of the exciting adventures this past half year has brought into my world. I have so much I want to write and share with bloggers just getting started! I want to write about my mistakes, my lessons learned, my successes, and ways to monetize a green blog (if that’s your thing.) Here’s a few posts I’ve written so far about blogging, if you want to check it out:

I can’t wait to see what the next six months will hold for me and this lil’ blog of mine. More than anything, I feel so lucky for all of the wonderful and genuine friendships I’ve found on this crazy journey I decided to embark on in April.

Cheers to the next six months!

Don’t forget to share your blog posts in the link up below! After a week off from actively engaging, I look forward to catching up and reading your posts!

Have you heard of blog link ups? Join us for our Mom Life Mondays link up below!

What is a blog link-up you ask? It’s a regular post that I’ll have here on Mondays (not sure if it’ll be weekly or monthly or bimonthly yet), but a place you can come to find the latest and greatest blog posts about all things motherhood.

If you’re a blogger, please feel free to drop a link to a current motherhood-related blog post. I just ask that you follow the instructions detailed below!

As we get further into it, I’ll come up with topics that will keep us to a theme, but for now, please feel free to post current / new links related to anything and everything mom-life!

We also started a AM (Mondays 11EST) and PM (Thursdays 9EST) chat loop on Instagram! Please follow: Morgan @morganmanages for the AM chat and JeeYoung (me!) @simplyeveryblog & Shannon @memoirsofaworkingmom for the PM chat and join us for a fun chat loop!

Have a fabulous week, loves!

Happy 6 months! So much you have done for a short amount of time. Phenomenal job ! I agree, sometimes blogging takes the life out of me. So I have to plug out on weekends and started scheduling my social media accounts activity or else I’m gonna be doing it all day, everyday! Great blogging tips. Thank you for this!

Happy six months! I am so in love with your blog. Thank you so much for the advice. I feel that I’ve been doing 20% writing and 80% promoting. I plan on reading the other articles and signing up as soon as I get back to the desktop. Have a blessed day and happy birthday to the hubs. Take care.

Sometimes you just need a break…and that’s totally okay! I recently took a mini break from social media recently and it was fabulous!!!
